Mighty Mites is a unique program designed to give players the best opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball through a practice-then-play setting. Former Major Leaguer and ADP Sports Director Mark Brown trains all coaches. The skills of baseball come alive through specially designed drills taught to the young ball players. The development of the players’ skills is evidenced in the short games that follow the practice. For parents, the opportunity to enjoy your child’s participation in a positive, fun atmosphere involves a one day per week commitment. Each Saturday session includes a 45-minute practice and 45-minute game; and the season lasts for seven weeks in the spring. The invitation is open for your child to be part of an involvement and instruction based league that allows them to learn baseball and grow in social development and spiritual awareness of God.
The season starts on Saturday, June 6th and ends on Saturday, July 18th.
Day and Times
Mighty Mites is held on Saturdays. Tee Ball runs from 9:00 am until 10:30 am and Coach Pitch runs from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.
Our league-wide picture day will be held near the end of the season. The specific date will be announced during week one. Please arrive in plenty of time to be part of the team pictures.
- Participants for Boy’s Coach Pitch Baseball are 7 or 8 (must not turn 9 before 8/1)
- Participants for Girl’s Coach Pitch Softball are 8 through 10 (must not turn 11 before 8/1)
- Participants for Boy’s Tee Ball are 5 or 6 (must turn 5 before 8/1)
- Participants for Girl’s Tee Ball are 5 through 7 (must turn 5 before 8/1)
The fee is $60 and $30 for each additional family member in the same household. You can register up to three participants per form.
Meet the Coach
For those who will be participating in the Mighty Mites Tee Ball program, Meet the Coach night will be Thursday, June 6th @ 6:30 p.m. If your child is participating in the Coach Pitch Baseball and Softball leagues, Meet the Coach night will be Friday, June 7th @ 6:30 p.m. Meet the Coach will take place in the Auditorium in the church building (First Bible Baptist Church, 1441 SE Adams Dairy Parkway, Blue Springs).
Registrations can be done in person on Saturday, May 9th (10 am until 12 Noon) in the lobby of First Bible Baptist Church (1441 SE Adams Dairy Parkway, Blue Springs (across from the YMCA) or online at https://adpsports.com/offerings/flag-football/. Online registration will open on Sunday, April 5th.
