Mighty Mites is a unique program designed to give players the best opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball through a practice-then-play setting. Former Major Leaguer and ADP Sports Director Mark Brown trains all coaches. The skills of baseball come alive through specially designed drills taught to the young ball players. The development of the players’ skills is evidenced in the short games that follow the practice. For parents, the opportunity to enjoy your child’s participation in a positive, fun atmosphere involves a one day per week commitment. Each Saturday session includes a 60-minute practice and 60-minute game; and the season lasts for seven weeks in the spring. The invitation is open for your child to be part of an involvement and instruction based league that allows them to learn baseball and grow in social development and spiritual awareness of God.
2024 Season
The season starts on Saturday, June 8 and ends on Saturday, July 20.
Registration
Online registration opens Sunday, April 16.
Day and Times
Mighty Mites is held on Saturdays. Tee Ball and Coach Pitch run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am (60-minute practice and 60-minute game).
Picture Day
Our league-wide picture day will be held near the end of the season. The specific date will be announced during week one. Please arrive in plenty of time to be part of the team pictures.
Age Requirements
- Participants for Boy’s Coach Pitch Baseball are 7 or 8 (must not turn 9 before 8/1)
- Participants for Girl’s Coach Pitch Softball are 8 through 10 (must not turn 11 before 8/1)
- Participants for Boy’s Tee Ball are 5 or 6 (must turn 5 before 8/1)
- Participants for Girl’s Tee Ball are 5 through 7 (must turn 5 before 8/1)
Fee
The fee is $80 and $40 for each additional family member in the same household. You can register up to four participants per form.
Meet the Coach
For those who will be participating in the Mighty Mites program, Meet the Coach night will be Friday, June 7 @ 6:30 p.m. Meet the Coach will take place inside ADP SportsPark behind the First Bible Baptist Church parking lot (1441 SE Adams Dairy Parkway, Blue Springs).
